Small Business for Wimps
I am certainly not a writer but every night I think of ideas that I should blog about. So I finally opened a blogger account and now I need to get started.
First off I am doing this blog to get my ideas down and share them with you. I am so accustomed to writing blog articles "under pressure" strictly for business and publicity purposes. But this one I am going to write to organize "my mind" and hopefully I will be able to share some important advice while I do so.
I figured I would make a blog because I can work on it from anywhere, I am hoping to have time to get my thoughts and experiences down. (Although a baby is on the way and I hear they take up a lot of time)
The reason I called this blog "Small Business for Wimps" is because I was a small business owner and I am a wimp. I am an introvert and meeting new people, especially customers or clients makes me nervous.
In my time as a small business owner I have made mistakes, and learned from them. In this blog I am going to share all the mistakes I have made as well as what you can do to avoid these mistakes. Not only that I have worked for small businesses and have witnessed the mistakes that they have made. I also plan to share these mistakes with you.
If you are anything like me, you have trouble standing up for yourself, and you can't exactly change your personality. You are a people pleaser and you always want people to be happy.
A lot of times you hear the phrase "The Customer is always right" this is NOT completely true. It is important to make customers happy, but not if it stops you from becoming a sustainable business.
In this blog I am hoping to organize a guide for myself and anyone who wants to "listen" in, this will hopefully help me learn from past mistakes and be more successful in the future.
